Native to the USA, obtained from Michael Walker of Ellensburg, who developed and fixed it from Anna Russian.
Orange-yellow version of the latter, heart-shaped fruit weighing 100 to 200 grams, in clusters of 4 to 6 units. The peduncular insertion is shallow and the umbilicus is irregular, often hollow. The lower part of the fruit turns pink when ripe, at which point it reveals its mild, sweet flavor. Before that, its taste is bland or even insipid.
The flesh is dense and juicy, with pink marbling. Ideal for salads, coulis, preserves and drying. Flower with 8 petals and 10 fine, elongated sepals.
Large-growing plant, finely cut foliage dropping limply, reminiscent of Anna Russian no doubt, indeterminate growth.
Mid-season production.
