A heritage variety originally from Iraq, brought back by British troops during World War I in 1918.
Large, red, beefsteak-like fruit weighing 200 to 350 grams, flattened, ribbed at the top and with rounded shoulders that can curve as the size increases.
Full, beefy flesh, small pockets containing few seeds. Good old-fashioned tomato flavor.
Robust plant with large leaflets and potato-like foliage, indeterminate growth.
Generous production from mid-season, but superior in the second half.
