This variety is believed to have originated in Tennessee, USA, and was cultivated by Lillian Bruce, hence the name. Featured in the 1989 Seed Savers Yearbook.

Red fruit weighing 50 to 150 grams, plum-like, stretched out over the height, with an oval tendency, some fruits ending in a slight point more or less blunt.

Excellent sweet taste. Contrary to its name, this is not a paste variety, but should be eaten fresh.

Plant with vaporous foliage.
