Heirloom variety, very famous in the 1950s, originating from the Ozarks Mountains in Missouri, USA.
Large, coral-pink fruit, turning red when fully ripe, weighing 300 to 500 grams, beefsteak-like, irregularly shaped, usually flattened, more or less deeply ribbed at the top, with rounded or even curved shoulders.
Dense, juicy beef flesh.
Good, rich, sweet flavor. Can be used both in salads and for keeping.
Vigorous plant, regular foliage, indeterminate growth.
Abundant production in the second half of the season.
