A cross between 'Ozark Pink' and 'Purple Price' developed by Tad Smith, USA. Note that another segregation of this cross resulted in 'Purple Perfect'. One of the 100 varieties mentioned in Carolyn Homme's book "100 Heirlooms Tomatoes for the American Garden".

Large "old rose" fruit weighing 200 to 350 grams, slightly flattened and ribbed at the shoulders.

Fleshy, dense and juicy. Balanced, mild and sweet flavour.

Earlier than Purple Perfection but just as productive and vigorous.

More susceptible to cracking in wet weather.
